Once again Ba Ba crosses national borders to take part to a prestigious international festival, this time in Portugal. Ba Ba will be represented at FIMP- Festival Internacional de marionetas do Porto on 25th and 26th of September into the historical hall of the Arquivo distrital in Porto. Boa sorte Piccoli Principi!

Debutto nuova produzione: Io, diversa |

La Compagnia ha debuttato con il nuovo spettacolo “Io, diversa” lo scorso 4 giugno al Teatro Rossini di Pontasserchio nell’ambito del Festival Metamorfosi-Teatro politico. “Io, diversa” di Alessandro Libertini e Véronique Nah con Véronique Nah è una produzione Piccoli Principi in collaborazione con la Fondazione Sipario Toscana/Città del Teatro e dell’ immaginario contemporaneo. Identità, diversità, razzismi consapevoli od innocenti sono i temi che “Io, diversa” affronta in modo singolare: sulla scena, Véronique Nah si racconta, svelando con leggerezza ed umorismo la complessità della comunicazione umana spesso intrisa di equivoci, stereotipi e distorsioni della realtà. Con musiche, balli e costumi suggestivi, l’interprete invita grandi e piccoli a compiere un viaggio insieme a lei: un’opportunità per lo spettatore di attraversare con l’immaginazione lontani paesi e anche, come in un gioco di specchi, di interrogarsi sulla propria identità.

Romania, V edition of the International Festival of Theatre "100, 1.000, 1.000.000 stories ". At the Nottara Theatre of Bucarest has been represented “Ba Ba”, written and directed by Alessandro Libertini and Véronique Nah, a show inspired by the wonderful work of the visual artist Giorgio Brogi, with David Batignani and Véronique Nah. This year, 12 theatre companies from abroad (Canada, Croatia, Germany, Italy, Russia, Belgium, Sweeden, The Republic of Moldova, Bulgaria, Greece) and 4 from Romania (Bucureşti, Craiova, Gheorghieni and Piatra Neamţ) have presented their most representative performances within the Festival. The Members of the Jury were: Doina Modola (Theatre Critic, IATC member, university professor dr. at the Music Academy Gheorghe Dima, Cluj-Napoca, Romania), Michel Dieuaide (Artistic Manager of the "Biennale du Théâtre Jeunne Publics", Lyon, France); Michel Caessteker (Manager of the City Cultural Centres, Limoges, France) decided to award 2 prizes to Compagnia Piccoli Principi: “Ba Ba” received the The Super-Bebe award, for best performance for children aged between 0 and 3 years old and the Best Acting Award went to Véronique Nah, for the performance Ba Ba, ex aequo to the actress Tamara Karpova , for the performance Mignone, Mr. Pejo's Wondering Dolls Theatre, Saint Petersburg, Russia. Piccoli Principi celebrates 30 years of activity: 30 years of success, more than 3000 representations into famous, national and international venues. Throughout 2010 the Company will celebrate this anniversary with some special events and different performances in Italy and abroad: some special occasions to remember the past but looking forward the future.

The Italian-Canadian actress has performed last May during a special evening dedicated to the famous writer and director Pier Paolo Pasolini. This is one of the many events organized by the Accademia della Crusca of Forence, within the initiative “La Piazza delle Lingue 2010”. This year the theme is “ Italian of the others”: a week of reading, round tables, performances to think about languages and multilingualism in Europe.

After the Lyon Biennale of Contemporary Art and the recent award for best performance at the 5th edition of international Theatre Festival of Bucharest, finally Ba Ba came to Naples. The show has been presented last February at the Royal Palace, into the prestigious Hercule’s hall. The show has been filmed also by Rai Uno which presented it on tv, together with the interview with Véronique Nah and Giorgio Brogi, the visual artist whose opera had inspired Ba Ba. Another great success for this show that makes even richer its personal biography.

The show " Ba Ba" has been recently presented at the MADRE in Naples ( Museum of Contemporary Art Donna Regina) within the initiative "Un'estate al Madre" (Summer in Madre): a series of music, art, dance, theatre performances and exhibitions organized by the museum in collaboration with Teatro Pubblico Campano and the following partners: Circuito Campano della danza e Progetto Sonora.

New production of Piccoli Principi: a show conference about scientific knowledge and rural culture |
Zappe, chiodi, cavatappi ed altri strumenti scientifici (Hoes ,nails, corkscrews and other scientific tools ), by and with Lara Albanese and Alessandro Libertini, is created in collaboration with the Museo della Cultura Contadina "Bruno Carmagnini" di Sesto Fiorentino and with the patronage of SestoIdee. During this particular conference, the two interpreters lead the audience to a surprising journey, throughout well-read disquisitions, funny science experiments and gags.

Piccoli Principi for Children's Hospital Meyer |
The Company presented “Obraztsov, theme and variations” last 4th March, into the playroom of children’s hospital “Meyer” of Florence , within the IX edition of “Su il sipario:un ospedale da favola” (Raise the curtain: a fabulous hospital), an important theatrical appointment where playrooms and hospital’s wards become particular stage for the shows. An event highly awaited by little patients and their families.
